Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team wins bronze medal at Asian Games

The Bronze Medal cricket encounter between Sri Lanka and China at the Asian Games concluded with the victory of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team clinched a bronze medal at the Asian Games on Friday.

Electing to bat first, china were 65 for the loss of six wickets and chasing a target of 66, Sri Lanka won against china with five wickets in 17.1 overs.

This is incidentally the first medal Sri Lanka has won at the 2014 Asian Games.
