For all those Harry Potter fans out there… Rowling has confirmed that she will unveil a new Harry Potter story featuring Dolores Umbridge, the Ministry of Magic Undersecretary and one-time Hogwarts Headmistress. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the story will be published on Pottermore.com as “a special Halloween treat for Harry Potter fans".

"Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry," said a statement on Pottermore, in relation to that demented detention Harry sat. The statement also says that the story will be 1,700 words and focus on Dolores' beginnings. "The new exclusive J.K. Rowling content provides a rich, 1,700-word back story about Umbridge’s life filled with many new details, as well as Rowling’s revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character," the website revealed.

Rowling regularly uses the interactive website to post new HP tales. Back in July she wrote a short story featuring Harry, Ron and Hermione all grown up and attending the Quidditch World Cup.

While the author is busy working on more additions to the HP world, including the screenplay for spin off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, she did shoot down rumors this week that she's been working on a romance novel. After she finished the Potter book series in 2007, the writer penned three books for adult readers, The Casual Vacancy (2012) and, under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, The Cuckoo's Calling (2013) and The Silkworm (2014). While she's in the middle of another novel, Rowling told her Twitter followers that she's nowhere near finished, alluding to a report in the Daily Mail recently that suggested she was trying her hand at chick lit.

"There's a story in today’s Mail that I was in a London bar on Monday ‘celebrating’ handing in a ‘romantic novel’ to my publisher," she wrote. "1) I haven’t handed in ANY kind of novel to my publishers. I’m only half way through my current book. 2) It isn't a ‘romantic’ novel. And 3) (brace yourselves) I sometimes have a drink even when I haven’t finished a book. Yes, that’s how rock and roll I really am."
